Our story
Light changes a room more than furniture does.
Albéa was born from that conviction, and a block of alabaster set on a table one winter evening.
The origin
A stone you only truly see once it's lit.
Alabaster forms over thousands of years. Unlit, it's an opaque pebble. Lit, it turns translucent and casts a pattern on the walls that belongs to it alone.
We searched for a long time for a workshop able to carve blocks thin enough to let light through without weakening the stone.
Our approach
No cord, no installation, no complicated settings.
We wanted an object you set down and forget about. Built-in battery, USB-C charging, intensity adjustable with a simple touch on the stone.
